LOCAL BIKE TRAILS: "Haven Avenue Bikeway" in OCEAN CITY

Mural on Local Bike Trail - "Haven Ave. Bikeway"
Bicycle riding on local bike trails is a wonderful way to explore the island of Ocean City. Family bicycling is particularly easy on our local boardwalk because there is no vehicular traffic. However, bike riders do need to be aware of fellow riders, walkers, and joggers!

Cyclists of all ages will enjoy the Haven Avenue Bikeway, too.  It starts at 9th. Street and Haven Avenue (near the Ocean City Transportation Center) and winds past some commercial spots; but mostly the bike trail passes residential neighborhoods, and a local Nature Preserve.  Essentially, traveling the Haven Avenue Bikeway is a pleasant, and easy, way to tour different aspects of Ocean City.  There are several locations along the trail where snacks and drinks can be purchased, too!

If Jersey Shore vacationers need to rent bicycles, there are several locations around town and very close to the Scarborough Inn.  We will be happy to direct you to a convenient location. We suggest you bring your own bike helmets and be especially cautious on local streets.

For additional information, including safe biking rules, and local bike trail maps visit Bikeocnj.org

Here's a virtual ride on the HAVEN AVENUE BIKEWAY - enjoy the ride!
