|Ocean City Boardwalk - Morning Biking|
During the hours that Jersey Shore vacationers are enjoying the beach, the boardwalk can get hot. However, it's always a great location for a break from the sand, lunch or a snack, or the source of diversions like sand toys, a book, or suntan lotion. In August, the boardwalk hosts the annual Boardwalk Art Show - a wonderful display and sale of original artwork in a variety of styles and mediums.
At all times of the day, the boardwalk provides a little "retail therapy" for all ages and interests. And if anyone needs a respite from shopping, there are convenient benches and shaded pavilions for that purpose.

In the evening, the boardwalk is a favored destination for amusement rides, mini golf, or just a cooling evening stroll. It is also the site for movie theaters and a wide range of concerts, craft fairs, and special events (like the Miss NJ Pageant) - most housed in the historic Music Pier. Then there are parades on the boardwalk (featuring cars, pageant queens, and babies), Family Fun Nights, and spectacular fireworks displays on holidays or special occasions.

A recent article by Ocean City PATCH informs us that the boardwalk Is not quite 5 miles long as was generally believed, "...the round trip is really only 4.9 miles. The Boardwalk is 2.45 miles long." Whoops!
