Jersey Shore Travel: Historic Cold Spring Village

Village potter
One of the great things about the Jersey Shore is that this area is much more than a beautiful Beach and a lively Boardwalk...wonderful as they are for visitors and residents alike.  Historic Cold Spring Village, about 40 minutes south of the Scarborough Inn, is an example of a delightful destination to include on your Ocean City vacation itinerary.

Situated on 22 largely-wooded acres, HCSV is a Living History Museum of 19th century living.  With 25 restored historic buildings and enthusiastic interpretors who share information about daily life, crafts, and careers of the 1850s, visiting the Village is like traveling through time.

In addition, there are many opportunities for hands-on learning - making history interesting - even for young children. Special events like model railroad displays, antique fairs, and military encampments occur weekly, as well.

Historic Cold Spring Village is located at 720 Route 9, Cape May, NJ (PHONE 609-898-2300) and is open 10AM - 4:30PM, Tuesday through Sunday until Labor Day & on weekends in the fall.
 Admission: $10 Adults/ $8 ages 3 - 12/ under 3 yrs. free.

INNsider Tip: Don't miss the General Store with a selection of old-fashioned candies plus a wonderful choice of books for all ages about New Jersey.

Until you have a chance to go to Historic Cold Spring Village, enjoy this virtual visit...
