Interfaith Services, Ocean City NJ

Ocean City, NJ Tabernacle
Since the fall of 1879, when Ocean City, NJ was established as a "Christian Seashore Resort," religious services have frequently been a part of many family's vacation getaways.  Interfaith services are offered at the Tabernacle located at 550 Wesley Avenue - literally a 5-minute walk from the Scarborough Inn - several days of the week and on Sunday.

Easter Services will include the following:

St Peter's United Methodist Church (located just behind the inn on Central Avenue.) will be presenting the "Living Last Supper" at the Tabernacle on April 21 and 22.  Thirteen men from Ocean City churches will re-enact the DaVinci painting and one by one each will break the scene to speak the thoughts of a disciple.  At the conclusion, a Last Supper Communion will be served to all present.

The Tabernacle's Easter Sunrise Service will be on the Music Pier (on the Boardwalk) at 6:30 am.  The speaker will be Tony Campolo.

For information about interfaith services at the Tabernacle or for services at other churches around Ocean City, check the bulletin board or the pamphlet display at the Scarborough Inn.
