Ocean City NJ Events, CHRISTMAS

Asbury Avenue decor
When planning an Ocean City NJ Vacation, it's a great idea to find out what Events are planned for the days you will be visiting the island.  At the Scarborough Inn Bed and Breakfast, we maintain a current listing of Special Events, Brochures about places to visit, plus information on our website from the OC Public Relations Department.  So planning enjoyable and varied activities is easy!

In December, as you can imagine, the town is decked out in Christmas finery, Downtown and Boardwalk shops display tempting gifts, and there are shows, and concerts, and Santa, too!  This weekend alone there's a Train Show on the Music Pier, the Annual Christmas Parade down Asbury Avenue followed by free Horse and Carriage Rides through the downtown, and "Sindia Day" at the OC Historical Museum in honor of the fabled 1901 shipwreck on the beach.  Seldom-seen relics from the sailing ship will be featured.  In the evening, the Ocean City Pops will present, "Joy to the World," a symphonic and choral celebration of the season at the Hughes Performing Arts Center.  Throughout the month, the community participates in Waves of Caring to benefit our local Toy Drive and the Community Food Cupboard.

This is just a sampling of the variety of venues and activities that are available for visitors to "America's Greatest Family Resort," so be sure to explore beyond the Shore next time you visit - we'll be happy to help!

And don't forget, Scarborough Inn GIFT CERTIFICATES make the perfect holiday present! Call 800-258-1558 or go online to order.
